Intel does not run one scored behavioral round the way Amazon runs its bar-raiser. Fit gets read in pieces, and where those pieces sit depends on the team. Some loops carry a dedicated soft-skills round, often the final panel with a hiring manager and a senior leader in the room. Others fold the fit questions straight into the recruiter screen, the manager round, and the technical panel. Both patterns are common, because Intel is a big, decentralized company and each business unit runs its own loop. Assume the behavioral read is happening in every conversation, not saved for one slot.
The weighting is worth naming plainly. The loop leans technical and fundamentals-forward, with cultural fit sitting roughly co-equal, not ahead of the code. This is not a values gauntlet. Nobody is going to drill you value by value or ask for "another example of Results Driven." The read is judgment and fit: can you own a hard problem, argue a call without making it personal, and keep shipping while the ground moves. There is a rubric behind that, though, and it helps to know it.
Intel's seven current values are Customer First, Fearless Innovation, Results Driven, One Intel, Inclusion, Quality, and Integrity. Two are load-bearing for the behavioral. Results Driven carries the Andy Grove "constructive confrontation" legacy in plain sight, its wording is about intellectual honesty and constructive debate, and about assuming responsibility to deliver. One Intel is the team-success value, doing what is best for the company over your own corner of it. Treat the list as a map of what Intel cares about and let your stories show it. Do not recite the names in the room. And read the register: under Lip-Bu Tan the company is pulling toward a blunter engineering-shop tone, so concrete and direct beats a polished values monologue.
