Intuit Online Assessment (OA): The Glider Test
The Intuit online assessment, the OA, is a work-from-home screen. It runs on a platform called Glider, and it pairs around five multiple-choice questions on CS and Java fundamentals with one or two easy-to-medium data-structures problems. Newer new-grad pipelines add a SQL query and a short Bash task on top. The OA gates the technical phone screen. For a student, it is often the hardest single step in the loop.
Most candidates think of it as "the coding test." That is the trap. The multiple-choice half is scored too, and it leans on Java and Spring theory a pure LeetCode grind never touches. The OA is common for new-grad and SWE-1 pipelines; experienced hires sometimes skip it and go straight to the "Eliminator" phone screen. One more wrinkle: some teams run the whole thing live as a coding screen rather than an async test, so confirm the format with your recruiter.
