Negotiating Your Qualcomm Offer
A Qualcomm offer has more moving parts than the single total a recruiter says on the phone. There is a base salary. A one-time sign-on usually carries a clawback if you leave inside the first year or two. US-dollar restricted stock units vest in equal parts over three years. They pay quarterly with no one-year cliff, so stock starts landing early. On top sit a performance bonus around nine percent of base, an annual RSU refresher, relocation, and for many roles a retention component. That makes six or seven parts, and they do not all move the same way.
Almost everything solid about Qualcomm pay comes from candidates interviewing in India, in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Noida and Pune. This lesson reads the India bands as the ground truth and treats the US picture as a lighter echo. The numbers below are illustrative. They come from public compensation aggregators such as levels.fyi and from what candidates report, and they drift with level, team and the wider market. The shape and the levers last. Treat any single figure as a starting point to confirm with your recruiter.
