Questions by Theme
These are the prompts that recur across the behavioral hour and the dedicated collaboration interview, sorted by the value sitting under each. Both slots are conversations, not scripts. A project manager or the hiring manager leads the behavioral one; the collaboration interview stands on its own and gets graded apart. So the exact wording moves from one interviewer to the next, and Snowflake gives no public rubric to anchor it. The themes underneath are the steady part. The list below is high-confidence on what each round probes; treat the quoted questions as representative phrasings, since Snowflake rotates them.
The overview lesson already lays out the eight values, the mission, and the wording trap, so this lesson assumes them and spends its time on the questions. One reminder and we move on: the values are Put Customers First, Integrity Always, Think Big, Be Excellent, Make Each Other The Best, Get It Done, Own It, and Embrace Each Other's Differences. "Be Curious," "Be Agile," and "Rock the Yacht" are not among them. Quoting one in a "Why Snowflake" answer is a self-inflicted prep tell.
Four or five stories cover almost the whole bank, if each one carries real tension. Picture a project where you owned a metadata path end to end and held a correctness line as a ship date closed in. You partnered with a storage team you'd never met, and you can name the call you'd redo. That single story answers ownership, execution under pressure, cross-team collaboration, and the mistake question. Pick experiences with a hard decision in them, tag each to a value by name, and whatever the interviewer reaches for, the material is already loaded. The same stories feed the IC3+ Tech Talk, so choose work you can defend to a room of engineers, not just narrate.
