Uber Behavioral Interview Questions

Alex Chen12 min readUpdated 548 real interview reports

These are the prompts an Uber loop tends to reach for, grouped by the theme each one is really testing. Behavioral is not a side conversation here. The loop usually carries one or two dedicated rounds. The hiring manager's "collaboration and leadership" round is built almost entirely on these prompts. The Bar Raiser takes one past project apart to see whether you drove the outcome or just executed someone else's plan. Each question below sits under the value it's quietly probing, so answer the value, not the surface wording.

The Uber angle
The hiring-manager round pushes for numbers, and the Bar Raiser tests values. Two different readers are grading these answers. The hiring manager wants concrete impact, so a story without a quantified result or a clear "here is the part I personally owned" sounds thin no matter how senior the project is. The Bar Raiser comes from outside the hiring team and checks values alignment and level. They often pick one project and dig until they can tell whether you drove business impact or wrote the queries someone handed you. Aim every story at both: name the number, and name the judgment call that was yours.
