Large Blob Processing
Designing YouTube, Google Drive, or Instagram requires handling files from kilobytes to gigabytes. A typical JSON API request body is a few kilobytes. A 4K video can be 10 GB. The two demand completely different machinery. You can't shove a 10 GB file into a single HTTP POST and hope for the best. The upload will fail on flaky networks, your server will run out of memory trying to buffer it, and the user will stare at a spinner with no progress feedback. Large blobs need chunked uploads, background processing pipelines, and careful error handling at every stage.
