Enterprise Java Fundamentals
For an experienced or lateral hire, one Superday round is a breadth check on the Java you write every day. It sits comfortably next to the coding and code-review round, and it rewards the same thing: plain, correct code that runs on the stack a bank ships to production. The questions are recurring and knowable. Most of the prep is simply naming the fundamentals out loud with a small example to hand. This lesson walks the ones JPMorgan probes most, each with a short snippet and a note on why it earns weight at a bank.
Group the round into four areas. Core Java correctness, the equals and hashCode kind of question that decides whether your objects behave in a collection. Collections and Streams, where the daily fluency lives. Concurrency, which carries real weight here because a trading or payments service runs many threads over shared state. And Spring Boot, the web-tier vocabulary, sometimes taken as far as exposing your code as a REST endpoint and hitting it from Postman in front of the interviewer.
